WHEELS & WINGS UPDATE - MAY 9TH

OK, here is the latest update. The car show will run both Saturday and Sunday, the majority of the trophies will be at the Sunday show. Since we do not really care about trophies, we have decided to attend the SATURDAY, MAY 9th show, this will allow us to hold SUNDAY, MAY 10th as a rain date! THE AIR SHOW IS THE SAME BOTH DAYS!

Registrations will only be the day of the show and it is $15.00 a car which includes two people, they may charge extra for more people? We are not able to get a reserved area for PT Cruisers so we will meet up outside the venue in the morning and arrive as a group. We plan on Meeting up around 8:30 at a staging location arriving to the airport around 9:00am! They will probably close car entry to the field at 10:00am for security reasons (this is what they did in the past)

As it gets closer to the show and if we hear more details from the sponsoring car club, we will let you know.

We got a room at the Country Inn By Carlson in Millville. Address is 1125 Village Drive, Millville, NJ 08332 and their number is 866-715-0006. We will assemble in or near their parking lot at 8:30 on Saturday morning and follow each other to the airfield. Mark says it is about ten minutes from there to the show.

We are up to 11 people who are coming. Should be a great event!

You can download a local map here. Car show is at entrance D. For those of us coming from the Country Inn that morning, it's about a 10 minute drive.

For anyone driving in that morning, take exit 24 from Rt 55 and take Rt 49 going West. You'll make a left onto Cedarville just past the Wawa on the left. Go past Bogden, then Thunderbolt Dr., and then the car show entrance will be the next left. There should be signs and/or people directing traffic.

I'll verify entry time with the car show club this weekend.

The car show gate will be open as early as 7:30am, and the club rep said the best time to get there is between 8-9am, so if we can leave the parking lot at 8:30 that will be perfect

A HUGE Thank You goes out to Mark for taking the point on this event! We all had a great time and the show was awesome! I hope the town has a great turn out for the weekend so they will do this again. Also a shout out to the event organizers for putting on a great show!

Thanks John and Mark for putting this together again. The air show this year was spectacular. Nothing like hearing from the announcer the Thunderbirds are on the way, take one step out from underneath the e-z up and there they are just above us at 1000 mph -- fantastic!
