Race of Gentlemen

This could be the coolest race you may not have seen. The last 2 years the Oilers Car Club - dedicated to roadsters and custom cars mostly from the 20's to 40's - has held a race on the beaches of Wildwood. I first read about this in the Fall 2014 issue of Cape May Magazine in an article about the first race. I noted the date of the race last year and went to see what this was all about. These guys had a lot of fun but take it seriously. I took just a few (hundred) pictures.
Race of Gentlemen 2014
This year the date is October 2-4, which happens to coincide with Wild Thang! More info about this year's event at http://www.theraceofgentlemen.com

Mark, are they going to have this race the same time as Wild Thang? That would be awesome!

Yup, it appears both events are happening the same weekend. I just looked at ticket prices, currently they are only selling full weekend passes at $50 each. I know when I went last year I only paid for a single day, it was maybe $25-$30. Hopefully they add this option at some point.

Is there any official information about Wild Thang? The COG web site is only showing 2014 events. Their FB page only has 4 members, so I'd say that's a dead end.

Just an FYI, this event was moved to this weekend 10/10-10/11 due to the weather last weekend.
