FIRST SUNDAY IN DECEMBER

We always close the cruising season with this parade. Come on out with your best Christmas decorations and join us for dinner at Charlie Browns after the parade.

FIRST SUNDAY IN DECEMBER

Postby myredpt » Sun Sep 29, 2013 9:15 pm

This parade is one of the first we ever attended in 2001 and is still a favorite. Please join us for the traditional season finale and join us for dinner afterwards.

Line us for this parade is behind the high school. We start decorating at noon, before the side roads close out and the parade kicks off at 1:30.

Just received the packet in the mail for the HOLIDAY (CHRISTMAS) PARADE. The date is December 1st, starting time of the parade is 1:30 so we need to be in place by 12:30 or earlier to decorate our cars. Remember this is a toys for tots event and we need some strong support from our club. We have always been very generous with giving at this time of year. Last year we donated the toys to kids who were displaced from their homes because of hurricane Sandy. John had delivered the toys for us. We will again head out to Charlie Browns in Edison after the parade. The area around Woodbridge gets congested with Woodbridge Center traffic and the traffic to Menlo Park shopping Mauls. We take a nice scenic tour of the Avenel and Colonia areas of the township and a little bit of North Edison to get to Charlie Browns. OOPS almost forgot, we line up behind Woodbridge High School where we decorate our cars and wait for the start of the parade. John usually posts a map with some directions, but if you map quest Amboy Ave and Freeman Street that will get you there(zip is 07095)..Please everyone drive safe heading there and home after the parade as it starts a busy shopping season... The staging spot for the Christmas Parade staging is behind the high school. Rt. 35 in Woodbridge is called Amboy Avenue.

Woodbridge High School
[1-99] Samuel Lupo Pl
Woodbridge, NJ 07095

It is at number one on the map! The red dot is where we stage for the St Patrick's Parade in March.

We would like to remind everyone that this is the last event for the 2013 season so we hope everyone will try to attend. Start the Christmas Season off by decorating your PTs in Holiday Cheer and join us for dinner at Charlie Brown's. Please post here or email if you plan on coming so Nipper will know how many people to make reservations for.
